Rover -> Rally Rating Question (5/15/2001 3:39:00 AM)

Upgraded to 5.01 from 4.5 this weekend and noticed something interesting when I started a generated campaign playing Germany vs. Poland first battle in 09/39. Specifically after purchasing my core force I purchased 2x supporting platoons of 5x PzIIIE's each. About turn three the Polish artillery hit their positions creating varing levels of supression for all 10x. When I went to rally 5x of them were not able to rally. I checked the unit statistics on the 5x which failed and in the upper right hand corner the rally rating was 0 (zero). In one platoon only one unit had this rating and in the other four of five did including the Lt (C0 unit). I figured what would happen is the units would never rally and eventually run off the back edge of the board. The interesting things was by the next turn the 5x had all rallied to some degree and I specifically saw in the platoon where both Sgt and Lt were zeros I was able manually (R key) get the Lt to reduce the supression of the Sgt's tank. Anyway it seemed like the rally setting should be something greater than zero but just as interesting is if it is zero how does/should the unit ever reduce its suppression. Lastly is there any way I can go in and change the rally rating for a individual unit? Thanks, R

After a unit fail a rally roll, they rally rating go to 0. They regain it again next turn.

Wow... so that field is dynamic... never would have guessed that. I'll mess around with it and see what I turn up. Thanks!
