As the axis I have this Karl Heavy Howitzer (u). What does the (u) mean? Also what is the best way to use it on the siege of Leningrad? Thank you very much in advance.

(u) generally denotes unready. Usually this happens because the unit is below a minimum TOE%/morale. For a support unit it generally means they are going to sit on the sideline until they receive replacement and improve morale. For a standalone combat unit it means you probably want to get them off the front line because they are begging to get their butts kicked and rout on you.

From the manual:

7.3. Depleted and Unready Units
Unready Units: Units that have the sum of their current morale and actual TOE percentage equalling less than 100 are in an unready status.
