DrRansom -> [Q] Hostile Contact Radar Arc Discrepency (1/21/2017 1:52:01 AM) In the attached save, again from Goodnight Irene, there is the following inconsistency. The radar arcs of surface search radars are shown but the arcs of air search radars on fighters are not shown. Is this WAD or is should the arcs be shown for air search? Sorry, to clarify: This is about hostile contacts, where the radar range is show in dashed lines. Edit again: This occurs for warship surface search radars as well, the radar arcs of surface search radars are shown. Though, this is less important here as the air search is usually 360 anyway.

DrRansom -> RE: Air Contact Radar Arc Discrepency (1/21/2017 4:00:02 AM) That picture illustrates the problem exactly. The Mirage ground search arc is shown as a wedge while the air search arc is shown as a circle. My question is if the disparate treatment is intended.

mikmykWS -> RE: Air Contact Radar Arc Discrepency (1/28/2017 4:00:44 PM) The arcs are there to provide an estimate. I get your concern about arc versus circle but units can turn and you may not have info on facing etc. So its probably ok to let this one go. Mike
