TheBattlefield -> RE: Mod List (2/12/2017 11:43:40 AM)

Thx, sPzAbt653!

I consider whether it would not make sense to put behind the mod description also a small "Download" or "In Development" sign. So everyone could immediately recognize what is already finished and what still takes time. What do you think?

[8D]

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (2/12/2017 1:19:48 PM)

It is an option to put a lot more details, but my first idea is to keep it simple so that it doesn't get cluttered. I'm thinking the mod name and brief description should give the reader enough to know if they are interested, then they can go to the linked page to get all the details. This means I am leaving it up the modders to keep their first post stocked with the important details and download link, so that those interested won't need to search thru pages of posts for what they need.

Plus, is anything ever really 100% finished [;)]

TheBattlefield -> RE: Mod List (2/12/2017 1:33:21 PM)

Hmm. Not more, just t h i s information. After many suggestions on our part, the refusal of the Matrix team to create a separate thread for finished mods was obvious. Your idea now offered the opportunity to intercept this decision somewhat and to steer everything into a somewhat more ordered course. It was just a matter of clarity, nothing else. And now I am silent and thank you again!
[:)]

Cataphract88 -> RE: Mod List (2/12/2017 4:35:26 PM)

This is a very helpful thing to do. [:)]

Matrix, if you are reading, you should make this into some kind of a stickie.

Thanks, appreciate the suggestion, and all suggestions are appreciated as silence won't help us improve stuff [:)]
I was also thinking that if I wanted to keep up with Mod Status' that would require more work on my part, and since I'm not a paid employee I'd rather skip monitoring all of them. Let's leave it up to the modders to have responsible first posts [;)]

Meyer1 -> RE: Mod List (2/12/2017 6:58:03 PM)

Thanks, very useful.

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (2/12/2017 7:49:03 PM)

Re: Stickie.
I wondered about this, so I looked at an older game thread [Panzer Corps], and they have stickies for the Mod section, so it is possible. Maybe it is a Moderator thing, maybe somebody doesn't have two hours right now to put it together, whatever it is I'm sure they will get to it eventually.

I'd rather say nothing more about this. Otherwise, I am still banished because of unrighteous criticism from the forum. [;)] Only that much:

a.s.o.

This is similar to a protective aid, which you get from the moderators when you call a brachial forum member to the order. Thank you again, Happycat! More than a common "Smily" with comrade Zakblood (does he have a Matrix "M" on his helmet?) connected with the hint that the developers should rather not read these evil, evil, evil entries in the forum was obviously not in it. Inside the forum was temporarily brutally verbally shot! Oh, now I said something. Damned...

Benedict151 -> RE: Mod List (2/13/2017 3:26:26 PM)

Hello sPz et al

Apologies but completely missed this very helpful thread. Luckily Bill saw it and brought it to my attention

This thread should now be a stickie and so appear at / near the top of this section

regards

Ben Wilkins

HimAgain -> RE: Mod List (2/24/2017 5:37:05 PM)

Great idea SpzAbt653.

I was hoping that you could include my Hybrid Counter Mod or is this just reserved for completed Mods?
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4214416

Thanks,

Angus

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (2/24/2017 9:18:38 PM)

Hi Angus, no disrespect intended, I went thru everybody's threads with some loose criteria such as the first post containing a description of the mod [you did that] and a link to the mod [I think you have yours in a few pieces thru the posts]. Then I went thru the posts to see how far along the work was. In your case [and a few others] I thought I would give you a little more time to get some more done. How far along are you now ? And I might suggest that you put it all in one zip and post one link in the first post, or post links to all the parts in post #1. It's ok if you don't want to do it this way, I just thought it would be easier for users that way.

Thanks for all your work, it really is nice !

HimAgain -> RE: Mod List (2/25/2017 2:33:07 AM)

Hi sPzAbt653,

No problem then. Let's leave it off for now. I think I'm in the neighborhood of only about 30-40% done.
We'll revisit this once I'm just about finished with an eye on how to make it easiest to download.

Thanks for the encouragement. Its certainly a lot more work than I thought it would take.

Angus.

AstroCat -> RE: Mod List (2/25/2017 1:58:59 PM)

I finished up the rest in post #52 here:

Flag Mod [Agent S]
Post #17 - http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4184530

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (2/25/2017 3:14:25 PM)

The first link doesn't take us to any mod link [:(]

Your flag mod is already in the top post [:)]

crispy131313 -> RE: Mod List (4/22/2017 8:40:06 PM)

How many of these MODs are complete/balanced? I would like to try one.

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (4/23/2017 1:04:11 AM)

I think if they are complete, there should be a link provided in post #1 of their threads.

mattystuart1984 -> RE: Mod List (5/1/2017 2:14:28 PM)

How do you download these Mods?

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (5/1/2017 2:27:24 PM)

Click the link and you will be redirected to their page. There should be a download link in the first post [ideally].

The intention was to include only completed mods in the list. However, some mods that were already quite far along were also included. Therefore, some are not ready for download and those have no link [:(]

wurger54 -> RE: Mod List (6/26/2017 10:59:00 PM)

The stock game has an elegance to it that is appealing. [:D] The mods appeal to the inner monster gamer (almost 40 years of War in Europe, CWIE, and all things Grigsby). [sm=00000619.gif] In my dotage, I'm torn. I played around with the Europe in Turmoil mod, but grew disenchanted when the pesky French didn't offer me a Vichy settlement and I had to resort to a total beat down. [sm=00000028.gif] How does the 653H mod play in comparison? [&:]

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (6/27/2017 12:03:38 AM)

Vichy Decision was not changed for 653H.

crispy131313 -> RE: Mod List (7/23/2017 5:12:37 PM)

As more and more Mods are completed, what is the etiquette for borrowing another's written scripts? My assumption is this is OK but I don't also want to make another user angry.

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (7/26/2017 3:52:35 PM)

If I was to answer, I would say that it is polite to ask for permission to use, and if no response is received within a reasonable time period, go ahead and use it.

HimAgain -> RE: Mod List (10/4/2017 12:17:11 AM)

Hi sPzAbt653,

Both these Mods are a work in progress but they’ve reached a point where they can be used.
At your earliest convenience could you add them to your summary?

Hybrid Counter Mod

1939 Campaign using Hybrid Counters (gives better control over HQ-General portraits)

WasimZoel -> RE: Mod List (3/3/2018 10:58:08 AM)

Hi this is most definitely a very noob question but everytime i try to save as a mod of an original campaign i receive a FAILED(recursive_directory_...) permission denied. can anyone help me with this? Thanks

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Mod List (3/3/2018 6:15:51 PM)

I haven't seen that error myself so I may not be able to help, but see this thread if you haven't already:
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4300169&mpage=1&key=&%2365533;

At least down to post #7, that shows the proper procedure for saving mods. If you already know this and still have problems, maybe someone else has seen that error and can help out.

ringoblood -> RE: Mod List (4/9/2018 11:23:22 PM)

Hey guys, for us noobs, and yes I am one. Could we get a Reply or stickie on how to or where to extract the files to, so we can play the mods.

***Never mind guys, I found the tread with the info: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4462349
