So it is Sep. of '43 and as US I just got my first Tacoma class PF, (the Long Beach.) Wow, what a great escort. Long-legged and an ASW rating of 11. I wish I had more of these coming and less of the regular DEs.

Description and ship's history: https://www.uscg.mil/HISTORY/cutters/USN/PF/PF34_Long_Beach.pdf Many of this class were manned by the USCG and transferred to the Soviet Union as the war ended. Interesting that this one ended up in the Japanese Maritime Defense Force.
