Meyer1 -> WTF sub moment (2/14/2017 2:32:15 AM)

So a Brit DD attacked my sub, which was right next to the rest of the fleet, and it dived away from the attack, but instead to move a couple of hexes, it went straight to the British base, 14 hexes away, where it attacked the enemy CA! [&:]

Doers anybody had that happened?

Well, thought that was interesting. Nevermind...

SlickWilhelm -> RE: WTF sub moment (2/15/2017 12:19:39 AM)

I wonder if the sub hadn't moved for a turn or two, if it would have the range to move that far? Just a guess, though.

I've never seen anything like that, so I couldn't really think of a comment. I might say that it is impossible and what you saw isn't really what you think you saw ?

Seminole -> RE: WTF sub moment (2/15/2017 1:01:25 PM)

Not that it isn't interesting, just looks like a weird bug.
I've only seen subs skip about two hexes away when diving.

Seems like the type of bug that isn't easily repeatable (due to factors in the randomness of diving). Have you tried to reload a save and get it repeat? If it can I bet the developer would like to have that save.

norvandave -> RE: WTF sub moment (2/15/2017 9:28:50 PM)

Are you certain that it is the same sub? Perhaps the sub the DD attacked is hidden and you're seeing a different sub that attacked your CA.

I think I had it move the prior turn.

I`m quite sure that's what that i saw, besides it was the AI turn, there`s nothing I could do to move the sub, and what I said earlier, the sub was with the rest of the fleet. Also, I could save my sub in my turn moving back to safe waters, that would be almost impossible if the move was made by me.

Unfortunately I donīt thin I have the saves that would help to track down the bug (I know, my bad), was hoping to see if that was a known one.

The sub is mine, I`m playing as Axis.

Thanks all for the comments.

William049 -> RE: WTF sub moment (2/16/2017 4:18:39 PM)

Just my guess. First the attack, your sub escapes by diving and makes the surprise contact with another enemy ship that results in combat?

Hubert Cater -> RE: WTF sub moment (2/17/2017 8:44:54 PM)

That does sound like an odd one and I'd only be able to have a better understanding from a saved turn where this action on the AI turn is possibly repeatable. If you have it, please send it to support@furysoftware.com

Thanks,
Hubert
