How to spy on AI?

Im playing vs the AI and what to check an AI turn to see whats goin on with supply etc, how do I do this? ive tried setting both players as human and loading the save but the AI still runs the turn.

Game options are stored in the save. For security reasons it is not possible to toggle them in mid-game.
