It is possible to accidentally overwrite an existing scenario without intending to.
To replicate:
Create a new scenario in the editor and save it. You can place units but you don't need to.
Once it's saved: "File" then "Load" select a scenario and go to read the summary without actually loading the scenario.
Now exit the load screen and save your current scenario you have open in the editor.
The result is Scenario 1 overwriting Scenario 2. Strange thing is though Scenario 2 keeps it's title/briefing etc.
