ORIGINAL: loki100 while since I've played it. But get the armies over as soon as you can - the commander stats will help out the corps etc so I'd say by T3 - the stage when you will probably be dealing with the first organised axis defensive positions. If I recall, you have a lack of corps command capacity - both overall and geographic (its a while since I played the scenario so this might be wrong), so the provisional corps gives you a useful boost. Whether its worth adding support units in part depends on how you will use it - if its just to chase down Italian units/cities in the SW corner then probably not - better to get the SUs into the other formations. If you are going to take on say Palermo with it, then yes worth boosting its combat effectiveness. For the most part combat SUs (ie not construction engineers) at the army level are a bit of a waste. Hi Loki, One quick follow-up: I read your last sentence as the recommendation to assign combat SUs from the HQ army level to the HQ corp level. In the beginning of the scenario, there are a lot of combat SUs assigned to 7th Army HQ (especially armor, engineers, and armor). I guess it would be best to assign them to the two Corps HQ prior to them being shipped to Sicily, correct? And I guess that would also mean that these HQs would then need more transport (and port) capacity - if so, how do I know how much would be too much? Thanks a lot
