DWReese -> Help with images (4/13/2017 12:28:54 PM)

Hi,

This is not an area of expertise with me, so I might need some guidance.

I have the latest Build 936.2, and I believe that I have the latest images installed. Most show up, but my F-15I images have vanished. I have reinstalled them, but the program will never display the F-15 on the group screen to the far right. What is your best guess as to what the problem may be? There other planes appear to be there, just not that one that I know about. Wrong folder, or was that one lost?

When I view the F-15I images from the platforms, all are visible until I reach the most recent. The 2005, 2007, and 2009 versions don't display anything. The previous versions all do.

Thanks in advance.

Doug

Have a look in the image directory: \DB\Images\DB3000
The image name contains the DB# in it, example: Image Aircraft_2708.jpg is the image for aircraft database item #2708

Michael,

I looked there, but my image is that of a helicopter, so I obviously have something wrong.

I think you may have mixed DB3000 with CWDB images

I'll look at it, but I simply allowed the images to be copied directly over the existing directories, expecting them to go to their corresponding folders. As I said, all of the rest appear to be accurate. The only ones that I know are missing are those three versions of the F-15I (2005, 2007 and 2009, I think it was). Can you check your db images to see if those are present in your db?

Thanks

Doug

Looking at the image zip, I don't see images assigned to those planes in the database. Look up the plane in the database viewer and then see if there is a aircraft image with the database id (number in front of the name in the viewer).
Note that the database item number is different between DB3000 and CW database so the same plane may have two different numbers for the image file in either folder.

Michael,

Well, I guess that if no images are actually assigned to those planes then it would be rather difficult for me to see them, now wouldn't it? Seriously, thank you for looking into it for me. I had believed that there was something wrong when I couldn't see them. Now I know that they simply aren't there to see. <g>

Thanks again.

Doug
