i still have get Bernie going...that will be next week. And wrap up a couple with Hawk..After that I will have 3 or 4 others but would like to start a large one with you. C&C is fine. lets say.. 18,000 custom map. (you pick map) No air No Special opps Art 10% 1943 All other options up tp you. I will give you (at the least) a turn per week

How about Italy, 1943? Me German you British or US. If you don’t mind waiting we might await the release of H2H ver2? I’ll get on the map right away though, and I’ll also use some of the new shp-files.

That was my original thought so it's OK. And here's a hint... Since there where no Tigers deployed in Italy, I won't use any. :)

How could I miss that??? :o Well I can only say that was what I thought. Was it Panthers then that never was deployed in Italy? But I'm probably wrong here also. I think I've read some where that they where deployed there.

Lars -> Operation Avalanche (5/11/2003 6:45:07 PM)
The Salerno – Naples area 13 September 1943. The British 10 Corps and the U.S. VI Corps landed on the beaches near Salerno on the 9th September. Initially the resistance was light but increased with time, but the allies kept pouring in to the area both from the sea and from air. On the 13th September, German General Vietinghoff launched the only real attempt to push the allies back and to cut their forces off. The 15th Panzer Grenadier Division, the 16th Panzer Division and the Hermann Goering division along with parts of the 26th and 29th Panzer Grenadier divisions formed the force to perform this task. Two companies of Tigers where part of the Hermann Goering division, though the force lacked the newly developed Panther tanks. Panthers had arrived to Italy but were assigned to Rommel’s force in the north of Italy. The scenario (though not very historical) will try to picture the actions on the 13th September when Vietinghoff launches the counter attack from the area around the town Eboli. The map has been made from three different WBW maps and has been put together and edited by “Ludwig von Helge” with the use of some of the new shp-files from “Tracer” and “Rockin Harry”. The game will start as soon as the new version of H2H has been released. /Lars

Please feel free to download the map and use it as you wish. It should however be used along with the new shp-files from the next 7.1-OOB or H2H release. :) The map is still not finished though, cause deployment lines and VHs’ aren’t set yet. Jess is working with that part right now. The scenario though, is not a real scenario. I’ve just sketched the background for the upcoming PBEM game between Jess and me, which will take place on this map. :D /Lars
