To replicate:
Create blank scenario.
Create side.
Place CVN 76 down.
I have tried this with a couple of other US Carriers and had the same result.
Place any aircraft / facility down and select it. The right panel Unit Status shows as an example: "A-37B Dragonfly" but when selecting CVN 76 you can still do air ops through the Unit Orders top tab. But not through the right Unit Status panel as it's still set on the previous unit. However it's still showing the correct weapons for the CVN.
