This German flak gun is impressive.

20mm Vierling...Allied had a 4x20 too (but not used much or was it 2x20) or 4x12,7 Rus had 4x7,62 much terrible fireworks

An average weapon at best. The guns had a fairly slow rate of fire for a 20mm and there were loading and jamming issues. Magazines were only 20 rounds so it was hard to keep up a decent rate of fire for anti-aircraft work. Sill, four 20 mms in the right situation could be quite deadly for vehicles and infantry.

Rof was similar to Oerlikon. Naval Oerlikons had 60-round mags, don't known what the land-based guns used.
Please explain the claimed loading/jamming issues ?

I love that the 'flak' guns used in Episode 4: A New Hope were all from Battleship Models. That was COOL!

Can't explain it. Just read that they were prone to jamming.

Believe you are right, read somewhere the single 2cm was reliable, the 4x20 not so much, so may be overrated a bit.

Edit, the Germans had 2 different 2cm, also used Oerlikons. Not sure which were used for Vierling.

The Germans sure made some kick ass machine guns though, as well the 88 too. Higher the velocity for the projectiles, the more deadly it can be.

Quad Flak 38 was based on four single Flak 38 barrels. The old Oerlikon Flak 28 were likely not used anymore and/or sold to Axis allies.
The predecessor, 2cm Flak 30, had some jamming problems but that was resolved by changing several parts and wasn't present in the Flak 38 at all.

But this photo is of the quad 20.

I think the "38" in this case refers to the model year, just like the German MGs were referred to as MG38 and MG42.

MG38

Don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but for historic reasons that's an MG-34.
