Panzer Leo -> H2H Deadline (5/6/2003 2:37:37 AM)

Well, everything has an end...so everyone who wants to finish some cool new maps with Tracer's and Harry's new terrain features or who has made a H2H scenario, should complete it till coming Sunday (11th).
I then will start to bundle the package and send it over to the Blitz, where it will be made available for download just like the previous version...so expected release is next week + whatever it takes to get the stuff online (expect another week)...

maps and scenarios can be sent to:

joerg.loewenstein@gmx.de

hope my inbox can take it :D

Belisarius -> Sweet! (5/6/2003 3:36:42 PM)

I'm so excited, Leo. :) The changes sound really good for game balancing, and Tracer and 'Harry has made some awesome looking graphics.

Can't wait! :D

Hah! Will this mean I'll have a THIRD install of SP:WAW on my comp. until all current H2H games are finished? Likely. :cool:

..which brings me to a question; will the new H2H require the first one to be installed, or can I install it 'fresh' on top of 7.1?

...just as everyone already guessed...as you think you can close it and lean back, a last request flies in...you say yeah to it and now the whole thing looks bigger then you thought... :D

The delay is my fault...I decided to rework the French OOB because of a request...

So the bad news...it'll take at least a week...

The good news...everyone got well designed French troops he can try to slam faster then the Wehrmacht did in '40 - it makes more fun to kill them, when they look real (sorry David, couldn't resist) :D :D :D

So we got three OOBs that underwent notable redesign:

-Finnish
-Russian
-early French

I know you all are waiting...I'll do as fast as I can...:)

Don't worry about of the delays as they are for the best :)

I have been working on a campaign covering the German attack on France in 1940, so a reworked French OOB is great news :D

Akmatov -> It will be ready when it is ready - sigh (5/22/2003 11:14:25 PM)

Was kind of hoping it would be ready in time for the long weekend, but please take your time. After all this is a thing you are doing as a favor to all of us.

As I enjoy mucking about occasionally in the early war period, improved and more accurate French OOB is excellent, thanks.

BTB, ignorant question: in the German OOB what does "Laf" stand for? Never heard of it and I though I was mildly well informed.

"Laf" is short for "Lafette", the German tripod with optics and special features like the bumper and below-0 trigger. :)

A bit simpler but very similar version called "Feldlafette" is still in use with the MG3.

Now you're really well informed :D

"Laf" = short for "Lafette", German for "gun carriage" - it's the tripod mount for the Heavy MGs. :)

Belisarius -> (5/22/2003 11:58:27 PM)

DANG! Beaten by seconds! :D

Akmatov -> Ah so (5/23/2003 3:18:20 AM)

Thanks guys, I feel much smarter now.

Now if I had recognized it as a German word I could have looked it up - duh. ;)

sztartur2 -> when,when,when... (5/30/2003 4:26:56 AM)

... will it be ready for us???

(Not so) patiently waiting.;)

Artur.

Krec -> (5/31/2003 1:29:13 AM)
