Am looking to maximize my Carrier play and I'm sure I don't have my arms wrapped fully around their abilities. Just yesterday I had one set for Naval/Tactical and was in range of an enemy cruiser in the Med and I could not get it to target the ship. I couldn't get the red line to the hex and predicted combat outcome while hovering over the enemy ****, even though I could target resources in nearby hexes. The weather and seas were clear. I have been able to attack other ships in this manner and can't figure out what I am missing... does anyone have any clarity?
Apologies for not attaching any photos... just set up my account for the forum after having the issue yesterday. I'll grab screenshots next time my PBEM gets back to me but I was hoping someone would know what I was doing wrong.
