ParachuteProne -> Having trouble unloading (5/21/2017 9:08:54 PM)

Unable to unload forces at alert base. There are 10 cargo I unloaded after planes landed but I cannot get them out of the base.
Also have 4 c-130's on a cargo mission. Paradrop.
They just flew around waypoints without unloading so I tried to unload manually.
After clicking unload many times and changing altitude and speed I managed to get one plane to unload.
The other still will not.

I've tried to attach the scenario - not sure if I did :)

This is an example of why I hesitate to get the expansion. The micro-management can be a joy-killer for those like me who are less than obsessed with realism. I watched the cargo video and of course it all seemed easy.

But truth is, I play the game in the scenario editor, as it's just too much darn work to run the missions without some "help" now and then. Such as, plop your cargo where you want it rather than go through wrestling with the UI, etc.

Make sure your not "dropping" in the water I found that out the hard way

Was over land. No idea why all of a sudden one plane only decided to follow orders.
I play in scenario editor as well for same reason. Sometimes the OPFOR needs some human decision making.
During the scenario I had an airdrop mission set for the OPFOR. I worked ok.
Thing is I know of no way to give a unit that has been airdropped and you do not control a waypoint for a patrol mission.
I was going to switch sides to give the OPFOR orders once my units were on the ground.
Once we can load units placed on the map (Not in cargo) at game start I'm hoping we will be able to attach a unit to a base to transport it but set its patrol waypoint hundreds of miles away so we can do
meaningful OPFOR airdrops.
Small steps :)

PS - I wouldn't hesitate, there are bound to be glitches but it sure will be great when the kinks are out.
And at this stage I can't be sure I didn't do something wrong, although I don't think so.

Okay Issue 1. You have an odd shaped zone and the game is actually warning you about a cargo loadout.

Issue 2. Single reference Point probably won't work as an area. Try a square. Assign aircraft to the drop.

Thanks

Didn't notice the error message with the globemasters.
No problem loading them and taking off/landing just wouldn't unload. Will watch for that in the future. My mistake :)

On the c-130 side I must have deleted the 130's to try manual drops before before I posted the mission .
The original had 4 c-130 assigned to 4 waypoints. I changed it to one trying to get them to unload.
They flew the waypoints ok just wouldn't unload at them unfortunately I don't have an earlier save before I started messing with things.

Thanks for the help
