Yes, it comes with a disk and the 3 books.

Also, if you download (you can do that with or without having the books and media shipped (and save that shipping cost), the files for the manuals is available in the installation, as well.

I chose to get the books since I find it easier to work with, but I often use the PDF files as well.

There is no box, as such, the disk is tucked into a sleeve attached inside the cover of one of the (lovely) books. [:)]
