How can Heavy Bombers take such high losses when attacking Subs or any Naval units. I can understand that they might be ineffective but to constantly take losses. Any air taking losses against subs should be rare. The cost to replace Air losses is too great to ignore. I don't want to hear operating aircraft takes losses. All units take attrition losses.

I agree. When they closed the air gap the heyday of the U-boat was over.
