Hello I have reinstalled WITE and now every time I try to launch the game a prompt window appears asking for this. It doesnīt have ticked to run as a administrator so I dont understand what is happening. I remember I solved it in the past but I just canīt remember how [&:] in other games it happened to me was because the box run as administrator was ticked but it is not the case this time. It is very annoying to be fair.

Has somebody had the same problem?

It now asks by default for this (just as the correctly installed version required, but in that case it was demanded by the shortcut, not the exe itself), because without admin rights it won't work in certain install locations.

in my case, both shortcut and exe ask for it, also the autorun. There is something I could do with it?

Not really, it must run with administrative rights.

I see, I have made a check and the steam version runs without admin rights i canīt see what is the difference. Also i ticked to run always the app as an administrator so the prompt should not appear now but it keeps appearing..

For the prompt to disappear you'd have to disable UAC on Windows, but it's not a good idea.
AFAIK, non-steam version requires administrative rights to check if your serial number is correct. Without that it won't work.

That is strange because I own WITW and WITP and several matrix games and this is the only one which have this prompt appearing always and all of them use serial and should check them.

I opened a ticket in support but I am hopeless with this cause I wont turn UAC off.

BTW if i am giving it admin right on the exe it should work without asking if I want this app to make changes on it but it doesnt..

WitW has newer code base where this was changed. I don't know if it's possible to backport this to WitE.

It's the UAC that nags you - you're not granting those rights forever, just for this single launch, that's why you have to confirm this every time. Disabling UAC disables this prompt (but then all applications would be able to get administrative rights without you being asked). It's rather not possible to disable UAC for a single application.

Hello morvael, I have been looking to the link you provided me and it seems that I will have to make that to every time the game has a new version so I think I wont implement it. Anyway thanks you very much for your help and your support.

I think this should work for any version, unless you move the game. Exe name and path does not change because of patches.

I have tried two of the and they affect the game itselft, some windows are shown in a weird way so I wont change nothing this time I prefer to click on yes every time and play it properly :) what is strange to me is that one version(steam) does not require it and the normal version does.

So maybe it will be easier to switch to Steam version? Though it seems patches for this version arrive a few days later and applying hotfixes is impossible.

Currently Steam with beta channel is on the same level as Matrix version, 1.11.00. It was only a few days late.
