I am playing as the Allies against the Axis on Expert difficulty. So I thought I would share what my game looks like at the start of the Jan 21, 1942 turn.

Here is the North.

Moscow area.

Southern Front. A little sparse for both sides.

I played the same difficulty level under 1.05 and things were nowhere near this good for the Allies at this point.

Now I will have to see how these changes impact me as I play as the Germans in a PBEM game [:)]

But so far the new changes look good to me.

Before 1.05 you would have already lost Leningrad and Egypt by start 42 . This is AI so you stand a bit better than what you would have against a human player .
But you would still be OK .
The bad side is that once US enters action, Axis will be hopeless because its forces will be tied both in Russia and Africa .

Well it is June '42 now and I am about to lose both Moscow and Leningrad. That +2 modifier is a killer lol.

But I am about to liberate Norway and finally start pushing out from Egypt in NA.

I eked out a Marginal victory in 1.05 at this level, so with 1.06 I am hoping to do better. [:)]
