Do you get messages as USN such as "C-47 transporting supplies to Port Moresby" while playing PBEM? I do not in PBEM, but I do when playing against the AI. Did I forget to click something?

Nope, you don't get them in PBEM. You also don't get the "ships arriving in theater" message either. It's a "feature" of the game tho, you didn't accidently turn them off.

Just to add to Feinder's explanation: both players see the same combat report in a pbem, wouldn't help to have the enemy know you were air supply/troop transporting to a secret location.

There is alot of talk about separate combat reports.
