Drivingguy -> [FIXED] Torpedo attacking below target Altitude (7/5/2017 4:59:20 PM)

Hi,

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but thought I'd ask about it. I'm play Push (Chains of Command) and the Connecticut (Sea Wolf class) is detected and attacked. I'd checked the database and noticed the Chinese Yu-7 Torpedo has a Target Altitude depth of -1310 ft.

I take the sub to -1476 and figure "nice the torp can't go that deep". Then boom the sub is hit and destroyed. I loaded the autosave in the editor and confirmed that was the torpedo that hit me.

Missiles in the air seem to have hard limits for target altitudes, do torps or is this a bug?

Can't post screen shots or a save since I'm too new.

Added to the list. Thanks!

Fixed for the next update.

Just keep in mind that ASW torps get a slack of +/- 10m on their depth envelope checks (the physical depth limits are not absolute, and submarines protrude both over and under their nominal depth just by their volume).

Thanks for the fix. I'll remember the 10 m thing. Maybe and can finally sneak that Seawolf by!
