Terrible topic and I hate to bring it up, but in my PBEM game as the Allies I have reached December of 1942 and I am curious if this effects the game in any way. Increased garrison costs? Lower supply? Reduced Indian industry around Calcutta? Lower morale for commonwealth or Indian units?

I figure the general effects are already covered by the research into wartime production, etc.

The effects are modeled in the game by the garrison requirements for some Indian cities. This was to reflect the effects of the famine and the general issue of political instability during the war. However, none of these garrison requirements change during the course of the game.

I recently read a book on the subject and the controversy surrounding it and it happened to coincide to where I was in the game.
