Mind -> any good tank simulators? (8/26/2017 8:28:53 PM)

Which one realistic tank simulator to choose? I heard most realistic tank simulators are: Steel Beasts Pro (EsimGames), Steel Armor: Blaze of War (Graviteam), an older one- Iron Warriors: T72-Tank Command (Strategy First).

I had iron warriors t-72 through Steam, but Windows 10 won't play it.

Steel Armor: Blaze of War is my pick.

Steel Beasts Pro is great but you pay upwards of 40.00 for an 'upgrade' (or what I would call a patch) after $125.00 for the base game.

Steel Armor: Blaze of War and its expansion can be had on a Steam sale for a combined $20.00
It only sims two tanks and some AI controlled APCs and AFV's but its a nice mix of realism that does not take weeks to learn.

Steel Beast Pro, with out a doubt!

You have different license options, time limited (you can download a 1 month license for $9.50 and try the game out), which range from a month to a year, or unlimited license which addīs a Codemeter Stick free of charge ($125). The upgradeīs are $40 but you always get new driveable tanks/vehicles in each upgrade. Updates are free! You donīt need to upgrade if you donīt want to, you can have two version installed if you like, the older version and the upgraded version.

eSim Games Store

It has the best support I have ever needed to deal with, and the community is quite nice, most of them are real mil personnel from different countryīs.

You also have...

- Steel Fury.
- Panzer Elite (with mods).
- Steel Armor, Blaze of War.

Panzer Elite with the Ostpak Redux mod:

At the moment I donīt have any videos of Steel Fury or Steel Armor as I donīt have them Installed for now, but I have played both.

You also have T34 vs Tiger and Operation Flashpoint older, cheaper but not least funner.

I've been totally hooked on Armed Assault 3 for the past 18 months and have put in 1600 hours on its King of the Hill multiplayer servers..:)

PS- if there are any AA3 KOTH players here, say hello if we bump into each other on the servers and I'll buy us a tank, I'll drive and you be gunner.
There's a chronic shortage of tank gunners with simple commonsense, for example I face our tank at the enemy but they're swinging the gun round 360 degrees like crazy and I'm forever screaming at them- "WATCH YOUR FRONT! WATCH YOUR FRONT!"
They forget the golden rule of tank combat- "Spot the enemy before he spots you!"
Sometimes a gunner climbs aboard who knows what he's doing, and I get a warm fuzzy feeling and think- "YAY,this guy knows how to kill!..:)
Below- me and some of my human teammates in AA3, I tell them- "Stick with me if you want to live!"

where I could find to purchase nice Steel Fury game? (not available in Steam, Amazon) And another question: why Matrixgames doesn't publish any tank simulator?

Good one. I second this question. Why not?

wodin -> RE: any good tank simulators? (8/31/2017 3:05:17 PM)

The recent Ost Pack Redux for Panzer Elite is worth playing.

As is Steel Fury with the STA Mod which is constantly updated.

Zakblood, why I can't drive the best middle tank in the world, the Leopard?[&:][:D]

zakblood -> RE: any good tank simulators? (8/31/2017 3:44:42 PM)

Leopard 3 or 4 tanks are really nice bit's of kit, not sure if they will come out on time to see off what others are doing atm

Leopard 2A7 atm is on par with anything.

K2 Black Panther
M1A2 SEP
Challenger 2
Armata
or even the Merkava Mk.4

but the T-90 has the numbers

Can we hope to stroll with these gears through Matrix? [:)]

zakblood -> RE: any good tank simulators? (8/31/2017 4:06:46 PM)

I got it from Gamers Gate...
Steel Fury

STA Mod...
STA Mod 1.2

Do follow the instructions carefully to install the STA mod.

Mind -> RE: any good tank simulators? (9/4/2017 10:22:41 AM)

After short acquaintance I draw some conclusions. My quick Top4:

1. Steel Armor: Blaze of War (best price/quality)
2. Steel Fury (good, but already not supported)
3. Panzer Elite (somewhat too out of date)
4. Iron Warriors: T-72 Tank Command (somewhat too complicated)

I didn't try SB Pro because I don't like eSim sales strategy

Red2112 -> RE: any good tank simulators? (9/4/2017 6:57:48 PM)

Iron Warriors is on sale over at Steam for 1,24€ [;)] Till Sep 11th.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/1670/Iron_Warriors_T__72_Tank_Command/

Steel Fury is W10 compatible (mod)...
