Lictuel -> Torch to Tunisia strangeness (8/27/2017 7:22:42 PM)

I'm currently playing the Torch to Tunisia scenario as a pbem++ and I have seen some strange things in the last two turns.
The screenshot attached to this shows a combat result that makes no sense to me. It is a British attack on German forces with a combat result of less than 2:1 and yet the Germans routed. Is there a rule that I'm not aware of that would allow that to happen? Afaik that should not be possible.

Another thing happened last round, on turn 1 the British player managed to cut off a German motorized division. On turn two I managed to free it but the British player managed to trap it again on his turn. The unit was surrounded but not attacked on that turn. On my next turn the unit was just gone. It was listed as a loss on the loss screen but there was no combat. What am I missing, how can that happen?

I think it could happen if all units got depleted after attack.

These units are operating at very low TOE percentages, and thus are at risk of being depleted before they can get replacements. Once they hit 10% of their combat TOEs, they go depleted, and rout automatically when next to an enemy unit if there is no non-depleted combat unit in the hex (including at the end of combat). An isolated unit that is depleted will surrender when next to an enemy unit.

Thanks Joel, I was not aware of that rule and I was thinking there must be a rule that I am not aware of to explain what I am seeing.
