durangokid -> 500 Test Wickets - James Anderson. (9/8/2017 4:31:20 PM) James Anderson has become the sixth bowler and the first Englishman to take 500 wickets in Test cricket. Only two seamers – Australia legend Glenn McGrath and West Indies great Courtney Walsh – had previously reached the landmark while spinners Anil Kumble, Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan all surpassed 600. This obviously doesn't mean much if you're not a cricket fan, but every sports fan recognises great milestones and this is one. Congratulations to James Anderson, so well deserved.

Neilster -> RE: 500 Test Wickets - James Anderson. (9/9/2017 2:14:22 AM) Is there any talk of him retiring after the Australian tour? 35 isn't so old but fast bowling takes a toll on the body. Often players decide to hang up the boots after a big tour. England will need Anderson and Broad in form because if Australia can keep them fit, Starc, Hazelwood and Cummins backed by the spin of Lyon at home looks a formidable bowling line-up. The Ashes - we'll be looking for an improvement over the 5-0 whitewash of 2013-14.[;)] Let's face it, we couldn't do any worse. Cheers, Durango.
