thedoctorking, you have not redeployed your cavalry to the rail way.

after I finish the South, can you do it then?

Alright guys, well were waiting on South and North.

what do you mean? the South is done!
all Cav that could move is moved, just the north is left, would be great to get those cav on the rails, so it can be taken care of next turn.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/17/2018 3:28:29 PM)

Alright, just because you wrote " After I finish the South" so I thought you had some last minute details to take care of.

If all there is to do in the North is to get those cav on rails, could someone (anyone ) do it ? for the sake of speeding things up.

Mamluke -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/18/2018 1:19:21 AM)

ok, I redeployed the cav in the North, final turn is "north mini"

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/18/2018 8:18:26 PM)

rgr that thanks. Il do my turn today.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/27/2018 1:12:56 PM)

Alright guys, sorry my internet was out since the 18th. I see that not much has happened since anyway so, whatever.

The turn is ours, Il do my turn right now while the internet is working.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/27/2018 1:15:11 PM)

Has anyone produce any offensive plans , or strategy since ? Central Front Strategy has been spoken in private messages, but I havent received anything from the other front commanders.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/27/2018 1:51:29 PM)

Reinforcement : around 20 infantry division and 2 tanks brigade arrived by trains near Vologda, Cherepovets and in the vicinity of the 23rd army ( Leningrad Front ) are ALL destined for the Northern Front.

Around 18 Infantry Division, 2 AT brigades and 3 tank brigades arrived by trains near and around Stalingrad. They are all destined for the Southern Front.

Nothing for the Central Front as of now.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/27/2018 2:02:31 PM)

Das Reich Motorised Div. is low on supplies. All divisions around them has received supplies by air. Maybe a good opportunity to try to break the encirclement or at least open a door for our troops. We have a breach in the pocket where 85th Rifle division has surrendered against 267th Infantry Division.

The Germans seems to have retreated a bit around Ivanovo and Vladimir in the Central Front. I dont mean to tell the front commanders how to conduct their operations, but maybe take the ground they abandoned ? Just a suggestion, nothing more.

everything static in the North. Not much has changed there.

Dont forget to write up your offensive plans and to send them to me by PM.

So far, we have Operation Sleeping Snake, part of the Winter campaign of 41-42 that has been talked about with the Central Front.

thedoctorking -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/28/2018 9:20:58 PM)

All those divisions you've sent up to my front, can I build them up to some useful level? If so, what?

My thoughts for offensive operations over the snow turns is to press forward generally southwards from Northwest Front's AO, with ultimate goal being the Rzhev area and the upper Volga. I might make some attacks in Leningrad Front's AO to put some punishment on the Finns before the blizzard sets in and they get buffed. I'd like to build some ski units, at least one per army. And if I had some cavalry divisions, I'd turn them into corps and assign ski battalions as well.

Darojax -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/28/2018 10:00:52 PM)

I only just now realized it's my turn. Will do it tomorrow (it's getting very late at my location).

Darojax -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/29/2018 4:27:53 PM)

Someone air dropped supplies to the partisans before the Air Marshal turn. Whoever that was, are you interested in taking over the Air Marshal job? Let me know. ;)

Darojax -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/29/2018 4:43:03 PM)

Air + Center done

just to let you know, air supply partisans is automatic, done by the computer.

Darojax -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (4/30/2018 4:14:05 PM)

Woha? Okay, that's new to me. Thanks. Sorry if anyone of you felt accused. : )

thedoctorking -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/1/2018 10:00:49 PM)

Wait, am I going next, or is South before me?

I'll do my turn this evening if it is my turn.

Darojax -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/1/2018 10:20:20 PM)

Turn is always:

1st : Logistics
2nd : SupCom
3rd : Air
4th : Center
5th : North
6th : South
7th : Air Final
8th : SupCom Final

Yes, it's your turn.

thedoctorking -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/2/2018 2:27:09 AM)

I've got two good commanders in Leningrad Front, Eremenko and Rokossovsky. They are sitting near a bunch of new divisions that STAVKA railed in for me. I have assigned some of those divisions to Eremenko (8th Army) and set them to 70% TOE and Refit, and also gave him some SU. I didn't do anything with the guys near Rokossovsky since some time ago there was some talk of reassigning him to another front. If he can have those divisions, then in the final supreme command phase, could you assign them? And if you have some leftover AP at the end, build both of those guys some ski units and Rokossovsky a few more sappers.

Since they are both in Leningrad Front, perhaps I could do some offensive action more or less due west from my position along the Cherepovets/Tikhvin/Volkhov rail line. Though the enemy's position along the Yaroslavl/Blogoe/Valdai line looks very weak as well. If we push west of the Rybinsk Reservoir, I don't see the enemy trying to hold onto Yaroslavl over the winter.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/3/2018 4:46:02 AM)

Do what you want with Rokossovsky, you can assign them to him if you want. As for the ski division. Yes go ahead.

As for the TOE, Mamluke is taking care of it so ask him and his answer will be backed by me.
My internet should be working good in the weeks coming at top so Im going to be more present soon.

I've given my reply to TheDoctorking.

BTW supreme leader, there is no such ski division, only battalions, in September of 1942 we can build ski brigades with a weaker ToE then rifle brigades but with 2 and 3 times the CV during winter, but that is a story for another time.

Speaking of ski battalions, we may start training then November so next turn! I ask that you let me take care of all of it!
I'm planing to train 80 battalions, we can rely on then to fill out the Cav corps and fill up any army that lacks SU.
this way, we can avoid building expensive arty SU in the near future.

To train 80 ski battalions, we need 80 AP by turn 20, So I ask supreme leader and all the team to not wast any AP until those are created.

It's important to train then in mass, we will only have 3 turns to train then before December, I will train then all in the Urals Military district HQ, once they reach 25 experience I will hand pick those to send to Stavka so they can be distributed to the Cav and armies. Cav takes priority.
if you doubt the ski battalions check out post #18 of my AAR for a summary of the ski bat.
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4464877

I made Stavka and Urals Locked to make sure they store the Support units, PLEASE DON'T CHANGE THIS!!

We have 48 active cavalry divisions for turn 19, meaning will well get 16 cavalry corps, with 1 more corps by turn 22.

We still require about 1000 cavalry squads to fill our divisions, with 400 cavalry squads per turn, all 17 cav corps will be ready by Blizzard!

We will also need 17 out of the total 36 sapper regiments for the Cavalry corps, I will also take care of this.

By December, the Supreme leader will have the grand honor and responsibility to decide which Front gets which Cav corps, decide carefully, only 17 for the entire winter and they can make a big Impact.

Final note:
only one last hurdle, there are 2 ways to decide what divisions to chose to build corps, based only on quality, or based on the numbers of wins/losses.
to explain the last point: once the corps is created, it takes the highest number of loses and the highest number of wins, for each 3 cav divisions,
this is important, because what gets Guards status is based on wins/loss rations, for example, if one corps has 5 loses, it might need 13 or higher wins just to get Guards status.

I will try to create at least some best quality corps with some wins or 0 loses. these ones will be specially marked.

sorry to bear the bad news, but the Voronezh pocket is certainly dead, it will suffer 4 turns of Isolation, (not even counting the isolation it suffer in the past) simply put, that much time in isolation degrades the unit massively.
once snow is on, a single hasty will kill almost all units there.

with several enemy hexes between my forces and the pocket, too much space to cover, the only reserves I have left are still raw recruits, and I need my best units to secure Rostov during the snow.
just not possible boss, with mobile units getting fuel by air and just setting still, they will have MPs, If I try to pull a rescue operation, I would just give then more units to devour.

I will give my plans by 7 of may, tomorow sir.

SOuth done.

Darojax -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/6/2018 2:03:59 PM)

Final air done!

I like this idea. Especially these days. btw Iv been starting an offline game as the soviets, and Im on the 20th november in the game and Im beating the Nazis so bad. But yeah im going to learn more about the soviet , I play about 5 turn per day or so. ( Got plenty of time since Im in a tower all day doing nothing but observing the forest )

But yeah take full control of the Ski battalion training and distribute some to Northern Commander as he asked for them.

Thanks for taking care of everything in my more or less absence Mamluke. Your experience and efforts are well noticed.

So just like reality then. The Soviet learned that against the Finns during the winter war.
Alright then, too bad...

I will be waiting your plans by tomorrow. Il make some extra effort to get on the case of the game, but its been crazy here and Iv been pulling 14 hours shift every single day. Its extremely dry out here and there's been wildfires almost every day. So Im a bit busy, if i had Internet in the tower I could be more present but its not the case unfortunately )

I will do the last turn tomorow morning and send them to the Germans.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/10/2018 2:32:50 AM)

Still havent received your plans Mamluke.

Doctorking, are you working on your offensive plans as well ? Id like to review them all before we do them. Hitler gave his Generals about a year to prepare for Barbarossa. Im giving you guys 2 weeks. Haha. I know, I know.

I get that my objectives are quite unrealistic but lets do the best of it.
Supposed to be raining tomorrow afternoon, if thats the case, I will have at least one day free to be able to do internet stuff as I wont be in my tower all day.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/13/2018 5:03:17 AM)

Southern Armies Winter offensive plan has been received ( and are about to be approved. )

Central Armies Winter Offensive has been talked about, but still need to receive a couple more. (Operation Sleeping Snake has been approve)

Northern Armies Winter Offensive plan has not been received yet.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/13/2018 2:25:42 PM)

All plans were received Comrades !! This is so exciting ! Our Winter offensive operations are taking form !! :) :)

well... IM exciting about it haha. Iv dreamed of doing that since I was a kid. We will crush those god dang Germans so bad !!

I will put all plans, and pictures/drawings received with a suplemenbt of text and send them to the Germans after the winter in the thread for both team ( after a reasonable time has passed of course )

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/14/2018 1:57:33 PM)

Alright so all plans were distributed in Private. The whole Offensive documents WONT be shared with ANYONE, until the day of the offensive. And will be distributed to you and only you, by private.
You can share those plans with your chief of staff and with your divisional commanders only on that day.

Mamluke -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/16/2018 1:34:37 PM)

Comrades, I hope I wasn't out of line, But since I won't be available this day, I took the initiative to manage the Cav for the 1st turn, I only moved the cav to the center of the map and sent about 20 sapper regiments to Stavka in accordance to the Cav corps training program.

Only next turn (21) will we be able to train the sky battalions, I ask my comrades to make sure AP does NOT fall below 60 please.

Important note, there is a very good rifle divisions at full strength in Nizhny Tagil, I marked it red.

Supreme leader, I think its time to start restraining most of the new arrival-depleted divisions, I propose we keep then in the Urals, at the edge of the map at 20% ToE, so all replacements will go to the active armies.
we don't have enough manpower for all rifle divisions, even at 70% ToE, there are just to many of then, we want all out front line divisions at best strength possible right at Blizzard.
we should still send the Brigades. they don't require much manpower.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/16/2018 2:19:06 PM)

Ah yes, the famous sky battalions, have we equipped them with the latest jetpack yet ?

:P

And yes alright. I agree for the divisions, if we dont have enough manpower, than we dont have enough. Those divisions includes the reinforcement that are in the rear of all front commanders, or only the ones that have just arrived and have not yet been move ? If you want to take care of it, you can. (If not, Il manage )

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/19/2018 2:24:20 PM)

All Offensive plans has been approved. Commanders, ready your divisions.

Specific troops that has been asked by Southern Commander has been approved.

Everyone will receive the whole offensive operations the day before the operation starts.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Cavalry corps training program. (5/23/2018 1:45:18 PM)

Partisan intel has communicated with us and it seems like the General Crackaces is not on the Eastern Front anymore. His staff car his gone, and his HQ symbols has been replaced by another General. This could be temporary but whoever was fighting against this General, just be aware that you will be fighting someone else until further notice.
