ORIGINAL: larryfulkerson I've got a boat-load of troops at Hsinking and a lot of it has places to go already before I got here and I'm thinking that if the Soviet front is going to be quiet I can afford to move them to China's hot areas and maybe get them to lend a hand. Hsinking doesn't need much of a garrison so these people are going to be on the move soon. I'm thinking of moving the AA units to the Burma area where the Allies are a nusiance. EDIT: Wait a minute, Do I have to pay PP's to move them out of Mongolia or wherever they are? I can't afford to do that right now. Maybe I should wait. What do you guys say? If players want PP's to be paid for restricted units crossing national borders, including Manchuria/Korea, its usually put in a house rule.Obvious reason for a rule like that would be to slow down operations. But this RHS-scenario is a scenario with many specific changes, including a war with Russia even though its a phoney war atm. Hard to say if a rule is needed , thats something to discuss maybe with GP? There is another PBEM of RHS ongoing, CharlieVane vs Bristolduke, (both doing an AAR btw) and they use: quote "The house rules we agreed upon:* Player must pay PP to move restricted units across borders. exceptions: - US-Canada and Manchuria-Korea borders can be ignored - Thai troops can move to Burma and Malaya - Restricted Chinese troops that historically operated in Burma/ India can cross borders without paying PP end quote http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4294113 With so many changes and variables its very interesting to see how this plays out. Nick.
