Rhinozherous -> Explorer ship will not explore system (9/19/2017 6:28:05 PM)

Hello!
I wanted to send my explorer ship out to explore the actual system, with rightclick - explore system. Immeadiatly after doing this I get a message that the ship has finished its mission.... But the ship has done nothing.

I already read somewhere that this is a bug, but this was a topic created a few years ago... Is this still not fixed? Would be nice to have this function.

Thank you very much!

Never used that option. I build a scout and it goes scouting on its own with no input from me. Do you have it set to automatic?

Only one exploration ship can be set to explore a given star system at one time. If you already have an explorer in that system with orders to explore it then an attempt to order another exploration ship to explore the same system will fail with the mission finished message. This is most likely to happen if you are exploring your home system in a pre-warp game. Other exploration ships can still be sent to investigate other planets or asteroids.

I have all on manual.
I had a second ship exploring a planet in that system, but not with the command to explore the complete system... But I will trie again with all other explorer ships standing still!

Thank you guys, will report here if it worked.

Another possibility is that your explorers have already identified all of the resources in the system, even if there are places that you haven't specifically looked.
