ezzler -> Why won't my convoys stay at sea? (10/8/2017 5:19:29 PM)

Why won't my convoys stay at sea?
Every other end phase. All commonwealth convoys sail back to ports.
Why? I have labouriously gone and ticked them all to stay at sea. beacause..you know...the war convoys and everything. And still half of them sail home instead of delivering vital supplies.

is there a way to add an option to leave the convoys at sea in the return to base phase?
That's the best method for finding which convoys are not nailed down anyway..

place them in sentry mode, they should do that automatic, when placed at sea

or do you order them to return, doing return to base phase

There was a problem where CPs that were attacked and the number changed because some were sunk or aborted - caused the remainder to be taken off Sentry. Not sure if that's fixed yet.

They are placed in sentry mode.
Then sometimes they are not.
Especially if more than one point in a stack.
Top unit might be in sentry. Underneath are not.

Its such a tiresome chore to firstly check them all. Then check uner each stack as well in case some are not on convoy stay at sea.

Happens all the time too. Its not a one off.

There is an item in the Detailed Map pop up menu for a hex that will place all units in a stack in Sentry mode.

If you use the Flyouts to examine a hex, you can see the status indicators for 9 units at a time in a hex. That makes it easier than going through a stack one at a time. The Naval Review Details does the same thing for all units in a sea area (or section box) if you check the box on that form to show status indicators.

Placing the Naval Review Details (NRD) and Naval Review Summary (NRS) forms side-by-side on the screen will let you examine each sea area in the NRD form by clicking on each sea area listed in the NRS form. See sections 8.7.1.10 and 8.7.1.11 for descriptions of these forms and how to use them.
