SUPER65 -> Is there any way to calculate fuel consumption for a determined loadout? (10/15/2017 4:37:22 PM)

Is this possible?
In database viewer only appears specific fuel consumption (SFC) at sea level and military or ab speed.
I want to know at loiter speed and cruise alt.
Thanks

Hey SUPER65,

Unfortunately the short answer is no. I have spent a fair amount of time trying to calculate this with spreadsheets etc, and because of the complex way CMANO calculates fuel consumption, there just isn't enough data available through the DB viewer to accurately calculate this.

What does work (and is probably less time intensive all-up) is making a quick test scenario and recording the results. e.g. use the aircraft and loadouts that you're interested in, fly the mission profiles you're interested in, and record the results.

While it would be nice to have more raw data exposed, from a game design perspective it's understandable to keep some things 'behind the curtain'. That said, it is possible to get the info you're after (using the test method above) if you're willing to spend a little time.

Hopefully the advanced strike planner will include fuel use estimation when the user is laying out his waypoints. Until then you're best bet is to do what Apach85 suggests and do a dry run with no threats to get an idea of how much gas you're going to need for a mission.

On re-reading I'm not sure if you are simply asking whether fuel consumption is listed. It is (as shown in the picture), but due to the different loadouts etc you probably won't be able to make use of this data for specific cases.

The problem is that the aircraft doesnt consume the same quantity with a 6000kg load as with 1500.

That spreadsheet is uncompleted if you want to know the actual fuel consumption, because itīs going to be more.

CMANO should include a tool to know this. Alt/vel/weight-> "x" fuel consumption.

I need this plan AAR missions.

LOL. Guessing Rag will have a heart-attack if that ever happens.

Correct. Like I mentioned above the quickest and easiest solution is to run some test missions in a blank scenario.

Using a spreadsheet and maybe 20 mins of your time you can have all the info you need for a particular aircraft or set of aircraft.

The actual data is presented to you in the unit fuel dialogue. You just need to work with the data to come up with the information you want.
