Is it possible to use specific air units for missions? I don't mean the shift thingy, then pick from those given. I was trying to use Il-4s to do night attacks on airfields. They are night enabled. They are 0% miles. I changed the daytime to night. They are some of the closest airfields. They are in BAK bases, and the base is in clear terrain. Supply and ammo is at the base. Yet, the drop-down choices hardly every have Il-4s, and at the end of the turn, the often have any flown miles. So, can I someone say: I want this specific air unit to do the following.... Any help much appreciated!

Left-click on the desired origin base before shift-right-clicking on the target base?

Set SB-2's to fly daytime missions only (they will not "fill" up the selection list, leaving room for your IL-4's to appear). Just remember to reset the SB-2's when you are done.

Check how much your planes can fly. Set it to 0 if you really want that mission.
