4personalbusiness -> v2.6.1 - German railway gun and rocket artillery in same pool (11/9/2017 12:38:47 PM)

This only shows up during production. The guns are in different pools in ctrl-u but are lumped together during the production step. File attached.

Dabrion -> RE: v2.6.1 - German railway gun and rocket artillery in same pool (11/9/2017 5:50:09 PM)

They should be in the same force pool (ART5).

By cost, not by sub-type. Got it. Thanks!

Joseignacio -> RE: v2.6.1 - German railway gun and rocket artillery in same pool (11/13/2017 8:07:10 AM)

Never by sub-type. You may have field, AA, anti-tank artilleries mixed up. In this case they need to be selected randomly regardless of the sub-type if you buy one, according to the rules.

paulderynck -> RE: v2.6.1 - German railway gun and rocket artillery in same pool (11/13/2017 4:01:02 PM)

Nope. AA and AT and Arty are all separate pools except when setting up and the set-up asks for "Guns'.

Paul is correct:

RAW:

If you are playing with this rule, there is a new gearing limit class -
artillery. There are 3 types of artillery - anti-tank (AT), anti-aircraft
(AA) and field artillery (ART).
They form three new force pools and, like other units, you should
sub-divide each of these on the basis of cost.

Both. Assuming sub-type means ART, AT and AA and cost means cost in build points :)

e.g. there are separate force pools for ART3 (leg-mover field artillery) ART4 (mot-mover field artillery) ART5 (rocket and rail artillery), ART6 (self propelled guns), AT3 (leg-mover anti-tank), AT4 (mot-mover anti-tank), AT5 (tank destroyer), AA4 (leg-mover anti-air) and AA5 (mot-mover anti-air). And you should be able to choose from them separately during production.

YEs, I was wrong. However, is it correct what Dabrion says? At least I was not doing it this way. Not that I usually buy ARTs of any kind...

What Dabrion stated is the correct method.
