Germany juni 41 The most imported event of the first turns is the kick of operation Barbarossa. It started pretty well for the Germans I think. I changed the offensive start from my previous game a bit. Now I not only surrounded more units (red dots) but destroyed at least 5 HQ's (orange X's)in the process. Germany juni 41 Kills versus losses The kills of inf looks a bit low but there are many units surrounded so they count also as kills. Look at the kills for staff (HQ's). further update Jun 41 Germany sudfront: noting significant to report westfront: quiet nordfront: A group of U-boots stumbled on a small fleet of destroyers of the coast the Shetlands. Most of them got promptly sunk by the luftwaffe. SS: on the move Italy We started our offensive in N-Africa but there was no enemy to be found. The Allies had retreated out of reach for a full assault so only an air raid was conducted Axis Art and air raids were executed on Russian units. Finland building our defences and forces.

### ICYM This turn I was unable to turn over the SS oil well to Germany There is an action card for giving an resource to an ally but it didn't work for the ss oil well The card did work for the Axis to give one of their wells to Germany

The Gift Resource Location action card does not work on synthetic oil plants - Germany cannot transfer them to another regime. However the SS can transfer its synthetic oil to Germany, or take it back again. The SS receives a separate Transfer SS Synthetic Oil card for doing this, but that card is currently set to be dealt to the SS in July 1941. So one more month and you will be able to do it. Impressive opening offensive on the Russian front by the way [:)]

###ICYM thanks, We will see if my slight change of the offensive opening and your change in building fortifications will do the trick of giving the Ostkrieg a better balanced outcome. Until now non of my games (3de & 4de triumph) have reached the point where Germany is losing to soon doing to unbalance of the game.

Overwhelmed: cities fall and whole armies evaporate as German forces encircle and destroy. In just two weeks, the fascist invasion devours over a hundred miles leaving Stalin ghost white and beside himself, almost unable to direct his armies. The Soviets can only fall back, hinder, and hope to regroup as they assess their disastrous predicament. And even in this, the slaughter and destruction of the coming weeks will only be slightly mitigated. The world is watching closely, and the verdict given is a near unanimous: death of Mother Russia!

Germany juli '41 Ostfront: Operation Barbarossa Massive retreat of the Russian Army. Looks more like a panic run. HrsGrpp nord: We continue to push towards Riga. In front of the City we caught up with a large force of retreating Russians. Only a small part of them could escape over the River into Riga. We also took Minsk after a small but fierce battle. We assigned the 5 Arm to contain and destroy the surrounded Russian troops in our sector. HrsGrpp center: Our units closed in on Minsk from the east, doing so we caught up with an other Russian HQ and cut it of from the main force. While units of HrsGrpp nord took the city we past it and continued driving east. HrsGrpp Oekraīne: The surrounded city of Lvov was taken and with it the troops in it. Our 7 PzArm races towards the Dnieper river and Kiev. East of the Karpedian Mountains the 9 PzArm and 10 Arm meet, after two big battles, 12 Arm of HrsGrpp sud. HrsGrpp sud: The 12 Arm makes contact with units of HrsGrpp Oekraīne. This cuts of a hugh force of Russian troops in the Karpedian Mountains. Further update Juli 41 Germany sudfront: noting significant to report. westfront: Our U-boots in the gulf of Biskay where able to sink some supply (see above ratio Russian turn) nordfront: Storm over the North Atlantic and North sea this kills all actions SS: on the move and taking on surrounded Russian troops for experience Italy Art and air attack against Allied troops in N-Africa. GB units landed on Rhodos. We promptly send reinforcements. Of the coast of Tunis our subs recon a large fleet. Some destroyers got sunk by our air force but doing to carrier fighters we got some losses to. Axis: We keep pressuring the Russian troops towards Odessa in the slipstream of the fast moving German troops. Tightening the ring around the Russians in the Kapedian mountains. ###ICYM and maybe all SW or ASW sector: the units in the sector doesn't count but only units on the hex with the letters on it count to the total of subs or Destroyers. I'm a right for this????

I have seen other games where players have misunderstood this requirement. In the upcoming revised version extra wording has been added to the SW/ASW areas that should make this perfectly clear.

Germany august '41 The Russian army is retreating fast and tries to stabilise the front by taking up positions behind the big rivers. Some of my forward spearheads get a visit from the Russian airforce. Ostfront: HrsGrpp nord: The 2 army crosses the Daugava River just south of Riga in force. Also the 4 army has reached the river. HrsGrpp mitte: The 3 and 6 armies crossed the river Dnieper and march on Smolensk HrsGrpp Oekraine: The 7 army cross the river just north of Kiev despite heavy opposition, while encircling the Pripat marches backed by the 8 army. The 9 and 10 armies reached the river south of Kiev. HrsGrpp sud: Heavy fighting while the 11 and 12 armies fight their way towards Kirovograd. Sud front: We help our allies by attacking shipping around Rhodos. Germany september '41 Ostfront: HrsGrpp nord: The 2 army abandoned here crossing over the Daugava River to give flank coverage and assistance to 4 army who is also crossing the river. Doing so the 4 army was able to surround and destroy an number of Russian units. The 3 army moves towards Smolensk but they meet some fierce resistance in front of the city. Luftflotte N-Russia had great success. It managed to destroy an airfield just north of 4 army and destroyed an airgroup (+15). Also the airfields S-E of Smolensk got a visit resulting in big losses for the Russian airforce. HrsGrpp mitte: The 5 army has almost ended here task of cleaning up the stranded Russian units in our sector and is now fast moving towards Smolensk The 6 army did get here biggest victory of the campaign. The army crossed the river drove in to the back of Gomel then turned east towards Briansk and the nearby transport factory who were both found undefended. A bigger surprise was the airbase to the east, here a panzer unit surprised a largo airgroup on the ground (+20). The 7 Army managed in battle to get across the river and close in on Gomel from the south. HrsGrpp Oekraine: The 8 army takes Psinsk and now closes in on Kiev from the north while the 10 army coming from the Karpedian Mountains moves in from the south. Both armies shell the city for the first time. The 9 army tries to find a way to cross the river further south. HrsGrpp sud: The 11 and 12 army drive to the east taking both Kirovograd and the nearby airbase after surrounding them first. Recon reveals large enemy forces behind the big river(s) south a east. Some of them we attacked and sunk. ITALY We go on a full offensive in N-Afrika and our navy attacks Allied ships. AXIS We take the abandoned and intact city of Odessa. We follow the Russians close. Our task of cleaning out the pockets of Russian units gets well underway. First of all @ Icym specially I think a discovered a bug in this scenario The SS produced an AA tracked unit but instead that it moves as tracked it moves as a gun so way to slow

Germany oktober 41 Ostfront The Russians stop running and are now trying to take up defending positions in or behind good natural protected areas. Hrgrpp Nord The 2 Pzarm pushed further north bypassing Riga defenders. The 4 PzArm and 5 Arm, who has finish of the initial box-in Russian units, managed to take Smolensk after heavy fighting. In conjunction the 3 Arm gets round the Russian armies defending the area around Smolensk on the south side. These drives piratically surround the Russians there. HrsGrpp mitte Along side the 3 Arm of Hrsgrpp nord, the 6PzArm drives east closing in on the city of Tula and taking Kursk unopposed.This cuts also a major supply line from Moscow to the south. The 7 PzArm, after fierce fighting, is able to push further east and in to rear of the defenders of the Kiev area. HrsGrpp Oekaine The 8 Arm almost complete here task of clearing Pinsk and is now heading towards Kiev. While the 9 PzArm managed to cross the Dnieper river south of the Kremenchuk reservoir. Cutting the life line of the Kiev defenders even further. An airborn assault on the last remaining road towards Kiev makes the encirclement complete. HrsGrpp sud The 11 and 12 Arm drive to the banks of the Dnieper river. Here the Russians have blown all the bridges and taking up defensive positions behind the big river.
