tarzanofmars -> Units with the 'supply' characteristic... (11/25/2017 7:23:36 PM)

So it says this in the manual:
"Increases the Supply Level in each supplied location that can trace a path no longer than the Supply Radius to the Supply
unit
. Additionally, Supply units multiply supply distribution to adjacent Cooperative units by
1.5. There is no effect on Unsupplied locations."

I am making a campaign in the Plains Indian Wars, naturally I need to replicate supply wagons and I need them to be very useful and worthy of defending on long expeditions. Do I need to crank up the supply radius to maximum?

How best to replicate this 19th century supply dynamic?

So far I've been pretty creative in other areas, making all the Native American units 'Mountain' cavalry units so they have better movement off trail and other things like that. I also assume that giving them the mountain cavalry unit icon alone does this, as this is mentioned in the manual, correct? There is no 'mountain' characteristic check box like there is for airborne etc.

Any tips on how to make Indian lodges (Tepee camps) and U.S. wagon supply trains function as mobile supply points would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, Guerrilla fighters? I didn't know these existed, what makes a unit one? I don't see a guerrilla characteristic, but it looks like some partisan units I've seen just have what I've given to the Indians, unless there is something I don't know about?

Great idea on the older scenarios [:)] I found one on the Little Bighorn I'll see what he did. So far my elite Indian units use Fast Horse and Agile, Fording ability, Reconnaissance and they are Mountain units; the Federal units have higher proficiency and generally better AP and defense etc.

So if I have a wagon train unit, give it 30 wagons (with a wagon having the 'support' characteristic checked, 40 horse teams and 120 men, this will function like a supply truck due to the wagons having the ability to support correct?
