OzoneGrif_slith -> An invasion problem (11/26/2017 9:49:20 AM)

Hello, this is the first time I have this issue so if you can give some hints that would be amazing.

I am invading a planet with 6000M angry aliens. I try to invade it, pirates come and join in my attack to raid it. The raiders are on my side, and when I win the battle, it triggers a bug in DWU making all my troops instantly teleport back inside my ships. Basically, the planet is nude, without any troops. Almost instantly, the population rebels, kills my Troop general and take the planet back.

I removed my protection agreement from the pirates, now I kick them out before they can raid the planet... okay let's try again.

I drop my troops, they begin to invade the planet, but the planet rebels during the invasion (because it's unhappy), the rebels joins my troop, win the fight, annnd... my troops are teleported back to my ships and the planet becomes independent. [:@]

Annoying little pests !

Let's try again! I drop my troops, take the planet, but it rebels instantly! My troops are heavily hurt, I need to evacuate them before they get crushed. I ask my ships to load them... and my ships loads my troops but also the rebels. [&:] The planet turns independent again and I lose a few troops because the rebels took their spot inside my ships.

I try again, but since I've got rebels in my troop transports, I win the battle and the planet turns from independent to... independent.

I am getting really tired of this planet and now I just decided to bombard it to ashes.
The land battles just can't handle three sides. It's awfully buggy.

Do you know a solution to avoid all this?

I have never seen anything like that, maybe because I have never made a deal with a pirate, and maybe because I have not actually played all that much for a very long time...

Does the planet rebel during your invasion, or immediately after it? Manual taxes is a small trap when invading. When a planet is captured, the planet keeps its tax level.

So before invading the planet was probably +11 including a -20 or something tax modifier.
When you conquer them, they stock up a bunch of negative happiness modifiers (at war with own species, recent combat, does not like your type of government...). The -20 (or whatever) tax modifier makes them extremely unhappy and very prone to revolt.

So when you conquer something on manual taxes, you should immediately change the tax level. I just about always run automated taxes, and the AI takes care of it for me, as the AI is very good at paying that kind of attention.

I had both cases, if they rebel during my invasion, the planet will turn independent instead of giving it to me. If they rebel after the invasion, everything is fine... unless if I try to load my troops away from the planet (the rebels are loaded as well).

All the planets I captured had their tax level to 0. I checked it everytime, and I'm in manual mode. I will check it again just in case I had a brainfart.

I would post in the tech support part of this forum. It sounds like a bug. I have never come across a problem like that. Upload a save just before you land troops so others can look at the problem....GP
