Could you advise full cost for the upgrade Box version of The Operational Art of War IV if sent to Australia?

The last game box I purchased was a long time ago and I think it also included Australian Tax plus postage costs which from memory increased the cost of the game significantly.

The cost of A55.99 for the game and A$21.00 for the box game with manual upgrade is reasonable, but high postal charges and Australian Tax charges if collected (which are currently not applicable if the item/s are purchased overseas and is not valued over A$1000.00) can make the cost very high.

I normally only purchase the download option not the full box game version.

Does the checkout show the complete cost for a game including postage and any other charges before you make the payment?

The Matrix price is ridiculous ... whomever they have contracted to do the S&H saw them coming and fleeced them good and proper.

A MUCH cheaper option is to use a US based remailer (I use Shipito whom I have found reliable ... get it posted to the 'PO' Box address they give you and have them remail it to you at considerably cheaper rates.

Just checked, assuming a 2lb package the size of a US Quarto Book, Shipito quotes (to Australia) US$27.57 by Australia Post (actually some US courier who ships by air to Australia Post for the last leg delivery) in 4-9 Business Days. That's about $15 cheaper than the 'rock bottom' price Matrix is quoting even when you add in the postage to Shipito in LA.

Airmail Economy is 25-45 Business Days and $6 cheaper ... and not worth it, IMO, but it *is* available.

If Matrix had bothered to check out an alternative shipper it would probably be more like $20-25 cheaper ... but they didn't.

Phil
