Game screen disappearing (Full Version)

In the middle of a PBEM the game screen started disappearing in part or in whole.

Opening a turn and clicking on a ship or base or whatever I get pieces of the screen disappearing revealing the underlying basic Windows screen. Clicking around sometimes causes more openings in the game screen and sometimes does not. At times the whole game screen disappears. I can get it back by shaking the mouse or clicking elsewhere but the issue is annoying. This was not happening at the beginning of the PBEM and doesn't seem to involve any other program. Any fixes or thoughts?

I did this Win 10 update last night, and did not see the problem, but I run the game in windowed mode, which seems to not experience the issue.
