demyansk -> Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (12/28/2017 8:19:00 PM)

It is Alive!!! Or after May 1, 1945

Can't believe I am watching a third season on History Channel.

nicwb -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (12/29/2017 2:16:30 AM)

Call us if they actually ever end up finding him !

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (12/29/2017 10:06:40 AM)

I will, unbelievable, I guess all historians are wrong, biggest cover-up of all time. Even bigger than JFK assassination.

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (12/30/2017 6:20:28 PM)

I wish History Channel would take these things more seriously. Viewers that don't know any better will be swayed to making the wrong conclusions. I'd find it and other shows like it more credible if they would make statements like 'This is very interesting, but doesn't actually prove anything on its own' instead of 'Here we have definitive proof!'. But I like the show because they do find some interesting things, although most or all of it I am sure isn't really 'new'.

From what I understand, Hitler thought he was a god protected by some divine power. I find it difficult to accept that he committed suicide in a basement and got buried in the back yard. Since there is no evidence to support that story, then all it is is a story. I rather think that he died leaving and it was covered up as those few left behind that revered him didn't want his legacy to be that he was running away.

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (12/30/2017 11:01:11 PM)

I like to believe certain things but Hitler was in such bad shape both mentally and physically, I don't believe he could have made it out.
Also,Bormann was thought to have escaped, however his remains were eventually found through DNA. It is certainly an interesting who, what, where type of story. I just wonder about the skull fragment being of a female. Smersh
buried that item a number of times, so who knows??

rico21 -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (12/31/2017 10:35:23 AM)

All this is bullshit. How do I know?
It was my great-grandfather who burned his body on leaving the bunker.[sm=00000003.gif]

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (12/31/2017 10:53:34 AM)

I agree with you on that, gg?? Interesting

nicwb -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/1/2018 4:37:34 AM)

No - I'd say he's long dead. The Russians held his driver and secretary for years. They were the closest to eye witnesses and they never said anything other than he shot himself in the bunker. Certainly Hitler would never have allowed the chance he would be captured and rather ignominiously executed (like Mussolini) or put on trial and forced to defend what he had done.

I agree. Hitler was born on 20 April 1889. If he were alive today he would be 128 years old.

ASHBERY76 -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/1/2018 6:09:40 PM)

He would not have lived past the 40's anyway with his health.

And IF he made it to April this year he would be 129 years old. [8|]

Neogodhobo -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/1/2018 11:38:10 PM)

is there an actual show thats called Hunting Hitler ? And the point of the show is them hunting for Hitler ? wow thats dumb.

No offense. I havent watched History Channel since the 90s.

It kinda makes your reflect on why Historians dont ever watch History t.v or Documentaries.

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/2/2018 12:10:10 AM)

It's Hunting Hitler, but not that he's alive today. I believe he killed himself in the bunker after reading almost every book on the subject. However, you have to understand the time of 1945, Stalin was so paranoid and he truly believed Hitler double crossed him again by escaping. He was in no condition to escape in 1945 and the last chance was to leave with Hanna Reitsch and Von Greim. Greig committed suicide and Reitsch never mentioned an escape. Faragos an author also wrote about Bormann escaping, I believed that for a while until forensics solved the mystery.

Neogodhobo -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/2/2018 2:06:52 AM)

Okay, I thought they were actually looking for Hitler.

Zap -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/2/2018 5:01:34 AM)

I'm sure someone is still looking for him its just they have a few marbles missing.

Oh man! How about adding "Spoiler Alert" if you are going to write this sort of thing?

Nah. That he is dead is just a cover up to hide the real truth.

Watching now, Eisenhower went south due to werewolf redoubt not hitler

Check k this article

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/4/2018 1:22:30 AM)

Yeah, that Bob Baer guy has little if any credibility. He takes one sentence from a bulletin and uses it out of context. Or maybe he just doesn't know his history. I am certainly no expert, but as I understand it once Berlin was put in the Soviet zone of occupation, Ike wasn't interested it as a WAllied objective. Then when the rumors of the National Redoubt surfaced, he made that area a priority target.

Bob did the same thing in his JFK investigation [used one line out of context to 'prove' something].

I couldn't find much of interest in last night's episode, although they were grasping at stuff to try to indicate where Hitler might have been after his last appearance on his birthday. That might be interesting if they could find evidence that he was anywhere but in the Fuhrer Bunker.

ncc1701e -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/5/2018 12:19:01 PM)

This is like Martin Bormann. There was so many speculations until they discover his body in Berlin.

If you are interested by hunting Hitler, I recommend this book: The Berkut by Joseph Heywood.

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/5/2018 8:20:54 PM)

I have been to Berchtesgarden and in those bunkers. That one building looked like the old General Walker Hotel, not sure though, memory!! I walked around the ruins and that place has been picked apart. That was NOT a recent found doorway, come on. I do like the computer generated models, very interesting.

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/5/2018 9:26:23 PM)

Thanks for the report. I had guessed that door was not some 'hidden and undiscovered' secret. I also think it is pretty well known that in anticipation of moving the government out of Berlin, that Himmler went north and Goring went south, which would give then two options. Those moves weren't in anticipation of Hitler trying to escape.

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/5/2018 10:02:42 PM)

They did have a "Rat line" that went south through Italy and a Catholic representative assisted with the false paperwork. Eichmann, Mengele and others used it to escape and move to South America. You look at the old uniforms of Stroessner's military, you would think it was the Werhmacht.

Interesting, poor man's Nazi regime. Never heard that before.

Gilmer -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/6/2018 9:46:38 PM)

Those dudes were all nuts, no telling what they did or might have done. I'd put nothing past them.

When I worked in a pharmacy in the 80s we had a guy that would come in. His great uncle was Otto something or other, no one real well known or anything. But, supposedly was in the SS.

But, anyway, he comes in one April 20th and he says, "Do you know what today is!!!?" real excitedly.

And the pharmacist didn't know but he is like we all are when someone acts like this about something no one knows, so the pharmacist says, "Arbor Day?"

And he says, "No! It's Hitler's birthday! He'd be 100 years old today!" So, I guess it was 1989.

That dude had some seriously marbles loose. He was one of the ones who claimed that the Jewish people went to tennis camps and then emigrated away instead of going home.

We always just viewed him as some old kook, and left it at that.

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/6/2018 11:46:04 PM)

Yeah, wackos always try something on that date, dead ideology

Zorch -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/7/2018 12:00:18 AM)

'Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again'

Well, I hope they catch him this time. [:D]

sPzAbt653 -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/11/2018 2:30:36 AM)

They are going thru a lot of trouble to find out stuff that they could have easily found out sitting at home and visiting here or the Axis History Forum. I'm going to look now for what happened to Hilter's two sisters, because they claimed that they were moved to Berchtesgaden near the end of the war but didn't say what happened after that.

This episode they found more stomach medicine, so it must have been Hitler's, as I guess he was the only person with tummy troubles in 1945 [:D]

demyansk -> RE: Hunting Hitler on AHC - Again (1/11/2018 9:33:25 AM)

I am going to watch the episode this afternoon
