I haven't read any, but you made me curious. A search on Amazon turned up the following: The Economics of World War II From reading descriptions and reviews of the few books, this seems to be the most crammed with statistics for comparison. It would also allow you to do comparisons of the game with US, British, and USSR production. Japan Prepares for Total War Looks like a good book if you want a more of a narrative rather than a stat heavy take on the Japanese economy. Bankrupting the Enemy This book is specific to economic warfare between Japan and the US.
