Hi,

I had to do a lot of work to fix my computer to include deleting all non essential files.

Now reinstalling wite and getting error msg can't load game because d3dx9_43 not found. ???

Have you tried installing this:

I think you need some Dx9 libraries that are not installed on Windows 10 by default; and the above link should provide you with one. However, I think newest patches (since 1.08) for WitE try to install those libraries too for you. It may not be the case if you're installing from Steam. Then you'll have to manually install the redistributable from the link.

better use the web installer - easier to use for non-techies

Thx guys.

There is a Direct X installer in the latest game version patches, so very easy.

Visiting your recommended sites got me to realize that the dx.... stuff refers to the Direct X installer. Duh!!

Maybe about 5 minutes to fix and check out. Excellent..

ps also got fast and efficient help from Matrix support to get the Matrix login and stuff working.
