NAVMAN -> Data Base Update Installation (1/23/2018 8:07:48 PM)

Greetings,
Just installed "Command" and "Shifting Sands". I want to install
the latest data base update from the Warfare Sims site. I have
down loaded the DB3000 file and the CWDB file. There is a note saying
to unzip the files to: [command]\db\folder. Does this mean in unzip
both downloads to: command\db or each one to command\db\images\cwdb
or and db3000, respectively. To clarify, I have a seperate download for each file.
Perhaps someone could show the exact unzip path.

Thx in advance.

Hi and welcome

Just to clarify. The files you have downloaded are the picture files associated to the two databases.
The actual database files are included in the regular game update files.

The image DB file should be extracted to the DB directory.

Hope this helped.

Søren

Schr75,
Thx for the prompt reply. To summarize, both the DB3000 and CWDB
files should be unzipped to:Command\db.
BTW, I have some relatives living fairly close to you in Norway.

Thx.

[command]\DB\ this location will have all of the database files with a DB3 extension. (e.g. DB3K_470.db3 or CWDB_470.db3)
[command]\DB\Descriptions this location contains the platform descriptions
[command]\DB\Descriptions\CWDB Cold War Database platform descriptions
[command]\DB\Descriptions\DB3000 DB3000 Database platform descriptions
[command]\DB\Images this location contains the platform images
[command]\DB\Images\CWDB Cold War Database platform images
[command]\DB\Images\DB3000 DB3000 Database platform images

TheOttoman,
Thank for the info. I finally got it done after hours of frustration.
I ended up using 7-Zip, which worked without a problem. It may have
been an issue with WinZip.

Thx.
