I am fairly new to grand strategy games on the PC, and I am quite fond of Gary Grigsby's War in the East and War in the West. I like the vast play area in each game and all of the small details behind units, terrain, cities, etc.

I am looking for recommendations for games that are similar to WitW and WitE that capture the feeling of the massive scale of play area and the excitement that comes with the one-more-turn mentality.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

I can name a few.

War in the Pacific - Admiral's edition, but there seems to be a video issue on Win 10 for many.

Also, have you checked out Schwerpunkt games? They have similar games in scale to WITE and WITW.

I have never heard of Schwerpunkt games, but I must say they look pretty interesting:) I may have to look into those.
