fritzjoel -> Unable to load custom campaigns from battlefront.com (2/17/2018 10:42:47 PM)

I have downloaded the Advanced Third Reich custom campaigns by Bill Macon from the battlefront.com website. When I try to load one of the campaigns, I receive the following error and the game exits to the desktop:

FAILED(on_menu_command): Segmentation violation

Are custom campaigns for the Battlefront version compatible with the Matrix version of the game?

Thanks!

They should be but it would have to match properly for the correct Battlefront and subsequent Matrix re-release. For example, if the MOD was for the Global Conflict GOLD release at Battlefront, then it *should* work fine for the Matrix re-release of Global Conflict GOLD.

Also, are you attempting to load from the USER folder for the game, or from the installation campaigns folder? It should be the former.

I believe that I have followed your recommendations.

The custom campaign files were downloaded from the Strategic Command WWII Global GOLD file repository section of the battlefront.com website. The campaign files were then extracted to the C:\Users\username\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command Classic WWII - Global Conflict Gold\Campaigns folder on my computer.

Is it possible that there is an incompatibility between the Battlefront and Matrix versions of the game? The French Indochina custom campaign downloaded from battlefront.com works fine.

I have resolved this issue by downloading the A3R custom campaigns using the following battlefront repository link (thanks to rjh1971) and using the 2D graphics/NATO icons option.

Thank you for everyone's assistance in resolving this issue!
