jirik -> [FIXED B1004] Ship's SSMs do not honor not use in self-defence (2/18/2018 6:12:30 AM)

Hi,

it seems to me that WRA setting "Do not use in self-defence" is ignored for SSMs. Please see the attached scenario and WRA for mission "ASuW Patrol". Run the scenario for few seconds/minutes and monitor "SKUNK #5". When marked manually as hostile the WRA is correctly applied and a single missile is shot at him. But if I keep him to close the distance to my ships and let him start firing then both my ships will empty their magazines on him.

If I switch the self-defence WRA limit to 2 nm then it works correctly again and only one missile is shot. Thus I believe the "do not use in self-defence" setting is ignored.

I have one more question - if I do not limit engagement distance then the WRA is applied on both groups separately.
Is it because
- shooters are calculated per group and not globally?
- the groups are using different SSMs and the WRA applies per SSM type so it is an inherent limitation of CMANO and this situation?
or is this a bug?

Thanks a lot for your help

Hmmm what version of the game are you using?

A couple issues found, should work ok in B1004. Thanks!

You are welcome!. Just may I ask you about the opinion on the second question posted - regarding WRA applications on different groups - see the original post? Was it a bug or one of the options proposed?

Thanks a lot!
