Difficulty - a good idea to go with simple descriptives like Easy and Hard instead of the former thematic choices like Elite, Veteran and Recruit which were often misunderstood. Visibility - I'd like the option 'Always see enemy' to apply only to the player and not his units. One of the solo play balance modes I used in classic CC was to only issue orders in the deployment phase and then watch the battle play out. Occasionally I'd like to watch battles in God-mode where the enemy was always visible but not have that setting radically change the outcome because my units can also always see what would otherwise be hidden enemies. An option here for Low visibility is where I'd want to toggle off enemy unit icons and the red enemy dots on the minimap. At that setting situational awareness would be solely up to the player's own eyes and ears. Enemy Info - Hoping for a None option here. For maximum FOW I dont want to know anything about the enemy other than what I can glean from observing the battle. Not team sizes, types, AP/AT capabilities or casualties. And certainly not that one of it's team's last two soldiers is cowering and the other is pinned. Nor enemy VL control. If I dont have a garrison on a VL it should display as neutral. Morale - This is a welcome new addition. I'd guess there are going to be 5 morale levels mirroring those in classic CC, and that Motivated might be the middle choice. It would be a bonus if the Morale setting influenced the point at which Force Morale/Cohesion triggered the end of a battle. eg. selecting a lower moral meant that side was able to sustain fewer losses before reaching its FM limit. Initiative - a substitute for the 'Always Obey Orders' toggle but that dropdown menu teases the potential for more. My house rule has always been to stay hands-off of units acting on their own initiative. The soldier psyche model has always been the most fascinating, immersive aspect of CC. Where other players jeered at 'girly soldiers' shirking from an assault I saw the game faithfully recreating any of the countless WW2 attacks that bogged down to a stand still under fire. Ideally this setting could be turned up a notch or two, from Normal to High and even Full. High Initiative might feature behaviors like units close assaulting on their own or, or getting lost on long moves where the destination isnt observed. At Full Initiative I'd like to be able to deploy and issue orders or assign objectives before the battle and then watch my units attempt to enact and/or improvise on my plan entirely on their own.
