DWReese -> RE: Best way to create a recon mission (3/6/2018 10:57:40 PM)

It depends. If you know where the units should be, and you want to just verify that you are there and then get out, you can use a Support Mission and actually designate the exact path that the planes take to look for the targets. If, you don't know exactly where they are, then you might want to create an area via reference points and send a unit on a Patrol Mission. The patrol units will locate (and attack--unless you tell them otherwise--if they can). Otherwise, any units that have strike missions will proceed to attack them, as long as their mission is active. The patrol a/c will hang around and watch the ships (targets) until it needs to return for fuel, unless you have told it otherwise. These examples are generalities. Do you have something specific that you want to ask? Doug
