jediael -> Game slowing down after a few minutes (high end system specs) (3/8/2018 8:38:36 AM)

Hey there,

I'm running an Intel i9-7980 XE with 64 gb am and a GTX 1080 graphics card on Windows 10 with a fast SSD.

On my previous system with comparable specs, but Windows 7 and a i7-5930K CPU, I had no issues.

Now, when playing the game, after around 20 minutes of play, it becomes very slow and unresponsive. If I close and restart the game, the problem goes away.

I'm using game version 1.11.01 through Steam.

a report may show something else up, normally a back ground task working over time tbh,

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just attach it to your post with first adding the file to a zip, which is then permitted to attach to the forum

Thanks.

I will try out the Win 7 compatibility mode and report back whether that solved the issue.

We had a few similar reports but this does not happen on any developer machine, and without replication it cannot be fixed.
I believe solutions vary from player to player, some remove sound and music, some disable overlays of any kind (including those by Nvidia), some reduce switching between windows back and forth.

Setting the .exe to Win7 compatibility mode solved the issue for me.
