If Dave decides to enlarge the Jaws of the Attack this could get interesting fast. Since it seems we have a plethora of Soviet supporters I will have to go with "Go Germans!" ;-). Nothing makes a more serene scene than Moscow burning during a snow storm!! :) Ahhhhhh, tranquility.

Trapping 2 nice units.

South of Tula Germans launch tank attack with one of his missing tank corp.

He pulls back from the breach to hold the bridgehead. Tula had industry at risk.

Recon and widening his avenue of axis. He breaches river south of Moscow.

And one north of Moscow.

Seems to have been done with ease.

The 46 AND 55 cv must be thrown back!

The combat value 46 is doable. The 55 combat value is almost at the threshold of not being able to be moved. Really depends on a number of factors on the 55 CV one. But this is where the Germans have nice reserves set up to thwart any Soviet offense. From the looks of it Dave may just be doing just that :)

Two Moto division in the North would WRECK your day here :). Good thing he doesn't have those here either ;-P. I try and keep little things like that around just for opportunities like this. Good luck in the North, so far so good :)

Stalin demands report from the south while he still has his Moscow bunker.

He is proud how many different armies took part in this attack. All racing to become the first guards army.

I did not play this attack correct. But the lack of attention toward Stalino is another day of industry out. Plus now Tula is threatened.

Nice AAR. It's always satisfying beating back a panzer/mot division and even more so an SS division. Hold on comrade, the fascists will not take the city.

How many victories does an Army need to become Guard Army? In the manual it says 75, but I vaguely remember 25 once in a patch somewhere.

In my current game I have 11 Armies with 25+ victories and 3 with 30+. No Guards yet
