andrewjb2004 -> Community pack problems? (3/26/2018 5:39:38 PM)

Hi,

Just upgraded to latest version and downloaded Community Pack. First problem, several hundred game files have been placed in the "My Documents" folder which is a ruddy pain - is this a bug?

Secondly, how can I read instructions for Community Pack, as I am struggling with the 1938 campaign? Had hoped to be able to strengthen forces early and declare war before normal date, but whilst I can re-inforce units and move them about, and invest in research I cannot buy anything as "not available until 1939". Not sure how this will work out as weekly turns mean I still have not got to point where war is declared, presumably still when Germany invades Poland. Pity as I wanted to see what would happen if France invaded after occupation of Saarland, Czechoslovakia or perhaps Austria. Quite a few "experts" say they could have stopped Germany dead if they (and the Brits) had taken firm action earlier.

Final point, the units are a bit of a strange mix:- Italy with heavy tanks and an escort carrier, French with a light cruiser called "Hobart", and Brits with escort carriers and Implacable well before due to enter service, and Iron Duke and Centurion in the Med - yes they were still around but as AA ships with all heavy weapons removed as far as I know. Ok this is not too important but it does seem rather odd.

Yes, a pain at first. It has to be that way. Other games do it this way, and all are going in this direction, I think.

There are quite a few updates to the games since the community pack including ‘Calm Before the Storm’ you may want to visit scenario design sub forum for updates.
